How to keep your emoticons safe in the latest Discord update

Posted by TechRadars team on December 06, 2017 03:31:00 If you’re worried about your emoticon in the next update to Discord, don’t be.

We’re here to help!

In the latest update, Discord users can use a new tool called “Emotes” to manage their emoticons.

To use this new feature, first create a new account on Discord.

Then, tap on “Emote Settings”.

You’ll see a list of your emotes, along with the “New Emote” option.

Tap the “Emoticons” tab.

You’ll get a pop-up window with the options for “Emoticon”, “Key” and “Icon” for your emotive.

Tap on the “Icon Set” option and enter a unique identifier.

For example, if you want to use the character name “Emotion”, tap on the “+” sign and enter “Emotions”.

To create a custom icon, follow the same steps as for your custom emoticons, but add your custom icon name to the “Add Custom” button.

If you want your new icon to be unique, follow this step.
